Save the Date for Beaumont’s favorite family event! Bring the whole family and join us on the playground for a night of carnival games, prizes, and kids’ activities. Enjoy great food, including hot food for dinner and yummy snacks and beverages. Don’t forget about the kids’ perennial favorites: Dessert Walk and Dunk Tank!

Want to help the Spring Carnival Committee plan this favorite event? We are currently looking for Game and Activity Captains who can supervise a section of the event, including directing volunteers, replenishing supplies, troubleshooting, etc. for the entirety of the evening (4-8pm). COMING TO A SCHOOL NEAR YOU – UPDATE ON ELEMENTARY ENROLLMENT & FACILITIES UTILIZATION
Dr. Gusick and Dr. Towle will be going to each elementary school to make a presentation to parents and community members about current and projected enrollment at the elementary schools and the impact on our school facilities. SOUP-ER BOWL CANNED FOOD DRIVE BENEFITTING CCFB AND UPCOMING SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
Thanks to the many BES families who participated in our canned food drive to benefit the Chester County Food Bank this month! We collected an amazing amount of food and it was all delivered to the CCFB last weekend - they were extremely grateful for our support!
Also, mark your calendars for next month’s BES Community Service initiative which will be a sock drive benefitting the organization Joy of Sox. This event will culminate with an in-person service opportunity for some BES students to help at the organization’s Phoenixville warehouse on the morning of March 18th! More details and a SignUp Genius to come - spots to help will be limited due to space constraints!
SUPPORT FOR TURKEY AND SYRIA
Many in the Beaumont community may be looking for ways to support the people of Turkey and Syria whose lives have been impacted by the recent devastating earthquakes. A Beaumont parent from Turkey has assembled the following list of ways to support Earthquake relief efforts for those who may be interested:
The Turkish Embassy in Washington, DC is accepting donations via mail. Amazon might be a good option. 2525 Massachusetts Ave, NW, Washington DC 20008.
NBC10 has an article about this: The Turkish Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Turkish Consulates around the country are accepting in-kind assistance. Those interested are asked to send donations of blankets, tents, sleeping bags, pocket warmers, winter clothing and over-the-counter medications for flu, cold, and pain killers to Turkish Embassy and Turkish Consulates across the U.S. by mail or through in person drop-off.
