A BIG THANK YOU!!!

THANK YOU to Beaumont families for your support on 2 important causes this week. Families contributed over $400 for Hope 4 Hoey / Green Day and over $300 for Unite for Her / Pink Day.

The Hope 4 Hoey Handel’s fundraiser also broke records, raising over $700! We are so lucky to have such an amazing community and loved seeing the spirit in the hallways.

Change to 2023-2024 School Year Calendar

At its October 23, 2023 regular meeting, the School Board approved a change to the current school year calendar.

The staff inservice day originally scheduled for May 14, 2024 has been moved to April 23, 2024 to align with Pennsylvania’s primary election day. Since this is an inservice day, there will be no school for students on April 23, 2024. Students will report to school as usual on May 14, 2024. We encourage all TESD families to make note of this calendar change, and we will send a reminder as the date gets closer.

In addition, the Board approved the 2024-2025 school year calendar at its October 23rd meeting. Links to summaries of both calendars are available below:

Bloombox Holiday Fundraiser!

T&E Care 2023 Holiday Drive

Beaumont Elementary School Collection

Monday, October 30th - Wednesday, November 22nd

Each year, T&E Care (www.tecare.org ) supports local persons and families by providing gifts during the holiday season. Please consider making a donation to spread holiday cheer among people in our own community!

Throughout the month of November, BES T&E Care Representatives will collect food donations to help our neighbors and families.

Beaumont Elementary's Home and School Association is proud to offer its families a bound and printed copy of the 2023-24 Student Directory. Pre-orders are now being accepted for $8. Limited quantities will be available for $10 after printing, so order yours today! Copies will be sent home with your student in early November.

CARING BEARS

A few years ago, Beaumont launched a group called the Beaumont Caring Bears. This committee helps our HSA recognize and/or support members of our school community who may be going through life challenges or who may have achieved something extraordinary.

If you know of a student or staff member who deserves special recognition, or if you know someone who is struggling and could use a little extra TLC, send an email to the Beaumont Caring Bears and we will make sure that person is shown some extra BES attention!

All submissions can be sent to caringbears@beaumonthsa.org and someone will follow up. Please include the student or staff member’s name, grade, and any information you would like us to know. Also, if you would like to get involved with our group, please send an email to caringbears@beaumonthsa.org.

The HSA is working on putting together many events and programs for the school year. There are many opportunities with varying levels of commitment, and we need your help to make it all happen. We are an inclusive group that is always looking for new and friendly faces to help! We encourage all new ideas! COMMUNITY SERVICE

NOVEMBER SERVICE PROJECT

In November we are honoring veterans and active duty military personnel. To help our students build an understanding of and connections to the importance of military service, we are requesting video submissions from Beaumont community members to show our students as they work on their November Service Project with Homefront Hugs Foundation.
