Parent Volunteers Needed: Join Us for the Recess Rally

We are excited to invite you to join us as a lunch time volunteer for the Recess Rally in May and/or to sponsor your child’s laps!

The Recess Rally is not just any ordinary recess; it's a special occasion where our students will walk laps during their recess period to raise funds for a cause very close to our hearts. All funds raised will go towards supporting CHOP Cancer Center and its efforts to provide essential care and treatment to children battling illnesses.

One of our own fourth graders is bravely fighting cancer, and this event gives us a way to show solidarity with Emma and all children facing health challenges.

Here's how you can get involved:

  1. Donate: Support our students' efforts by making a donation towards their fundraising goal. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference in the lives of children in need. We will share the total raised the first week of June. CHOP Fundraising Site.
  2. Volunteer at Recess: Come cheer on our students as they walk laps during recess. Mark their laps to create a total by the end of May. Sign up here at SignUp Genius. Mostly Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  3. Ask Your Student: Ask your child if they have heard of Recess Rally and if they want to participate. Children do not need to participate in every recess. We will keep track of the school’s total laps. This will have the same general format as Walking Club.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the Recess Rally!

COMMUNITY SERVICE
T&E Care School Supply Drive (SSD)

Most of you are aware that I help run a School Supply Drive (SSD) for the local children in need.  The SSD is an annual tradition for T&E Care that will help approximately 250 children of the 6,928 students enrolled within the T/E School District.  It costs approximately $100 to support a child with all necessary School Supplies within the T/E School District, which includes $50 worth of school supplies, as well as a $50 Target Gift Card to each child so they can purchase any necessities such as underwear, socks, new shoes, or a new shirt for the first day of school.

Big or small, all contributions matter!

We need your support to reach our goals supporting these 250 children.  You can donate any amount via Paypal:  https://www.paypal.com/donate/?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=Q36TRFPYZERK6&ssrt=1713469522301

or through Venmo: https://www.venmo.com/u/TECARE  My Team and I hope we can count on your support as we stand together to improve the lives of the most vulnerable among us, our local children in need.

Thank you for considering this call to action.  We can’t do it without you, and we are so grateful for your support.

Sincerely,

Jean Allen

Co-Chairman of the Board and School Supply Drive Liaison
